QUESTIONS ABOUT HOTELS & ACCOMMODATIONS

  • When will the room be ready for occupancy?

    Your room will be available for you starting at 3:00 p.m. 

    Early check-in from 12:00 p.m. can be arranged subject to availability and for an additional fee. 

  • Are bathrobes and towels available for rent?

    Upon your arrival, you will find a wellness kit in your room, containing a cozy, soft bathrobe and towels.


    Additional shower or sauna towels are available at any time at our front desk.


    Please understand that the wellness bag and its contents are part of our hotel’s amenities and are available to you for the duration of your stay.

  • What credit cards are accepted at the hotel?

    We accept VISA and Mastercard for payment.

  • Until what time can I arrive?

    Until 10:30 p.m., our front desk staff will welcome you and assist you with check-in; after that, check-in will be handled by our night porter.

    Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 10:30 p.m.

  • Are dogs allowed in the hotel?

    Yes, we warmly welcome your four-legged friends as well and make sure that both two-legged and four-legged guests feel completely at home with us.


    We would like to inform you in advance that dogs are not permitted in the restaurant or in the Wald SPA.

    Your four-legged friend is welcome to stay in our lobby area and on the terrace.

  • Are there any additional fees for bringing a dog on board?

    We charge an additional fee for accommodating your four-legged companion. 


  • What are the cancellation policies?

    You can find your specific cancellation policy in your reservation confirmation.

  • Until what time will your room be available on the day of departure?

    Your room and the wellness area will be available to you until 11:00 a.m. on the day of your departure.


    Can the check-out time be extended upon request?

    Yes, subject to availability until 3:00 p.m. (for a fee). Please inquire about this when booking or at the front desk upon arrival.


  • Is there a minibar in your room?

    All of our rooms are equipped with a minibar.

    As a welcome gesture, we’ll provide you with a complimentary bottle of mineral water. 

    We have a selection of additional beverages and snacks available for you in our service area at the Fichtenhaus.

  • Is it possible to have an accessible stay with us?

    Our hotel is largely accessible and offers a total of six wheelchair-accessible rooms. 

    Two of these rooms are located on the ground floor, while the others are comfortable and accessible via the elevator.


    Our restaurant is also accessible via a separate exterior entrance. 

    The entire outdoor dining area is also wheelchair-accessible, allowing guests to enjoy their visit without any restrictions.


    Please note that our Wald Spa is only partially accessible.

  • Are rental bikes available for our guests?

    Our high-quality e-bikes and bicycles are available for leisurely rides through the heath.

  • Are the rooms cleaned every day?

    Many of our guests appreciate peace and privacy during their stay.

    Therefore, room cleaning is provided upon request after the first few nights.


    If you would like an earlier or additional cleaning, we will of course provide this service free of charge.

  • Do we offer a selection of different pillows to ensure your comfort while sleeping?

    To ensure a restful night’s sleep, we offer a selection of different pillows, which you are welcome to request at our front desk at any time.

  • Do we offer our guests a discounted green fee?

    As our guest, you’ll enjoy special benefits and receive an attractive discount on green fees at select nearby golf clubs.

  • What types of gift certificates does Hotel Heidegrund offer, and how can they be purchased?

    At Hotel Heidegrund, we offer only gift certificates for any amount of your choice. These provide maximum flexibility and can be redeemed for any of the hotel’s services, such as accommodations, dining options, or spa treatments.


    These gift certificates make the perfect personal gift and allow the recipient to tailor their stay exactly to their own preferences.


    Gift certificates can be purchased easily and flexibly—in person, by phone, via email, or conveniently through our contact form.


    Our gift certificates are valid for three years, giving you plenty of time to enjoy special moments.

  • Is there a laundry service?

    For your convenience, our laundry service is available at any time. You will find all the necessary information, a price list, and a laundry bag in the closet of your room.

  • How far is the hotel from the airport?

    Bremen Airport is about 75 km away. 

    The peaceful, natural surroundings provide the perfect setting for productive meetings and relaxing moments of well-being.

  • Is Wi-Fi available for free throughout the hotel?

    Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

  • How can I get to the Hotel Heidegrund by public transportation?

    The best way to get there is via the train stations in Cloppenburg or Oldenburg. 

    From there, we recommend taking a taxi, as the hotel is located in a quiet, green area.

SPA & WELLNESS

  • What water temperatures can you expect in the pool, hot tub, and natural swimming pond?

    Enjoy our indoor pool, heated to 28–29 degrees Celsius with a depth of 1.35 meters, as well as our hot tub, which is set to a soothing temperature of XX degrees.


    A special highlight is our natural swimming pond in the garden, which is 1.35 meters deep. Its temperature varies with the natural conditions of the season, ensuring an authentic, natural swimming experience

  • Is the spa area open to children as well?

    Our Forest Spa is a place of peace and relaxation. 

    To ensure a relaxing atmosphere for all guests, this area is reserved for guests 16 years of age and older throughout the day.


    To ensure that families can enjoy relaxing moments together, our spa—including the pool area—is open daily until 3:00 p.m. to children under 15 when accompanied by their parents.


    We sincerely thank you for your understanding and consideration, which allows us to offer all guests the highest level of relaxation and privacy.


    You are welcome to use our wellness area free of charge on the day of your arrival, even before check-in.


  • When is our Forest Spa open for your relaxation and rejuvenation?

    Swimming pool: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM 

    Sauna: 10:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. 

    Fitness Center: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM 

    Appointments: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (We recommend booking your appointment in advance.)


    Please note that not all saunas have reached the optimal temperature at this time. 

    To fully enjoy your experience, we recommend that you check the specific opening hours of each sauna before your visit.

  • Can the spa area be used before check-in or after check-out?

    We are happy to offer you the opportunity to enjoy our spa area before check-in and after check-out.

    This additional break can be booked individually for an extra charge.

    Children: Guests under the age of 15 may visit our Forest Spa only until 3:00 p.m. and must be accompanied by a parent.


    Sun loungers: Please do not reserve sun loungers for extended periods of time by placing a towel on them. We appreciate your understanding.

  • Is it possible for non-guests to use our Forest Spa?

    We are also happy to welcome guests from outside our facility to our Wald SPA.

    You can use the facility after making a reservation by phone or conveniently through our website, provided that current capacity allows.

  • Are food and drinks available in the spa area?

    Fresh water is available free of charge in our spa area for your refreshment. 

    We also have a selection of other beverages available for you at our service station in the spa.


    If you’re in the mood for something to eat or drink, we warmly welcome you to our lobby in front of the restaurant, where we’ll be happy to serve you food and drinks—even if you’re still in your bathrobe.

  • What are our restaurant's hours of operation and service times?

    Breakfast

    We serve our breakfast buffet Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and on weekends and holidays from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

    During long weekends and school breaks in Lower Saxony, we extend breakfast service on weekdays until 11:00 a.m.


    Restaurant

    Our restaurant/kitchen is open from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM and from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. 

    We recommend making a reservation for the evening.


    Between service hours, you can enjoy coffee and cake here.

  • What is served as part of the half-board (HB) / 3-course meal?

    With our half-board option, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully crafted three-course meal every day: a starter or soup selected by the chef, a choice of three main courses, and a dessert to round off your meal. Each dish is prepared for you using seasonal ingredients and with great attention to detail.

    We serve our breakfast buffet Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and on weekends and holidays from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

  • Are dogs allowed in our restaurant?

    While you are dining in the restaurant, we ask that you leave your pet in your room.


    Out of consideration for all our guests and for hygiene reasons—particularly given our open buffet areas—we regret that dogs are not permitted in our restaurant.


    On our terrace, however, you and your four-legged friend are always welcome.
